Magni — Italian Engineering, Global Reputation, Niche Electronics
Magni Telescopic Handlers is an Italian manufacturer based in Modena (Emilia-Romagna), a leader in the heavy-class rotating telescopic handler market. Magni machines work on construction sites, shipyards, refineries, steelworks, open-cast mines, and wind turbine installations across Europe — from Scandinavia to Italy, from Germany to Poland.
The display and operator panel is the central point of the operator interface: machine status, SPN/FMI CAN J1939 error codes, Load Moment Indicator (LMI), Deutz / Mercedes / FPT engine diagnostics, MyMagni telematics. A failed display = machine stops. A new original Magni panel costs €2,400–6,800 with 6–12 weeks lead time. Our repair: 5–10 working days, €320–980.
We serve construction companies, equipment hire firms, and service engineers from Poland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and other EU countries.

Display and HMI System in Magni Machines
- Main Display (Master Display): 7" or 10" colour TFT LCD (Danfoss, Bosch Rexroth, Axiomatic or proprietary Magni). Shows: hydraulics status, load (%), SPN/FMI error codes, engine parameters (RPM, temp, oil pressure, AdBlue level), MyMagni telematics status, rotation angle, boom angle, fork position.
- LMI Display (Load Moment Indicator): Dedicated LMI module with segmented LED or TFT display. Manufacturers: Hirschmann (Kessler), RaycoWylie, LSI (Loader Sensing International).
- Joystick Console with Display: Danfoss JS7000 / JS1000 proportional joystick with built-in OLED or LED mini-display. PLUS+1 controller module.
- CAN-Gateway Panel (DM1-Gateway): Axiomatic Technologies or proprietary Magni CCU module bridging machine CAN and engine CAN.
Most Common Display Failures in Magni Machines
- Black screen — no image with power on: Failed CCFL backlight (older models) — conversion to LED (vibration-resistant, better sunlight visibility). Failed LED backlight driver chip (TI TPS61187, Maxim MAX16814, Linear LT3517) after 24V supply surge. Cracked FFC/FPC cable (vibration fatigue). Failed LVDS/SPI serializer (TI DS90C363). Repair: €160–380
- Partial image loss (horizontal or vertical stripes): Cracked TFT matrix traces or failed source/gate driver ICs — vibration and extreme temperatures (-20°C to +60°C). Repair: €280–580
- Frozen display — data not refreshing: Failed main processor (MCU: STM32, NXP i.MX6, Renesas RH850) or corrupted Flash/SRAM firmware. Display shows last known state, no touch response, no CAN data. Repair: €240–580
- CAN communication errors ("Display CAN Timeout"): Failed CAN transceiver (TI SN65HVD232, NXP TJA1044), CAN harness break in cab, missing 120Ω termination. Repair: €160–380
- Touchscreen damage: Cracked capacitive glass or broken digitizer connection. Replacement with hardened glass panel with chemical-resistant coating. Repair: €220–480
- Connector corrosion: DE-9, Deutsch DT, Ampseal connectors in RTH/HTH cabs after 3–5 years — loss of CAN signal and display power contact. Repair: €80–200
